Cheryl Zapata had been working with Texas Back Institute for 17 years as a consultant and in 2008 came on as Director of Communications. Zapata was appointed Chief Development Officer in January 2010.

She comes to the Texas Back Institute with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in many aspects of  medical management, marketing and business development. Zapata began her career working as a legal assistant in a law firm, which worked for several medical providers. She has founded many businesses over the years and has consulted with or worked with of physician clinics in the DFW area in all areas of clinic management.

In Zapata’s personal life she has multiple businesses in and out of the medical field, enjoys giving back through various ministries and mentoring, has fun with crafting, and most of all, loves to spend quality time with her family.
