Diane Lokay-Nickell MS, LPC-S, CBIS, works with all Texas Back Institute physicians as a licensed Professional Counselor-supervisor. She provides Presurgical Psychological Screenings and general Behavioral Medicine Evaluations if needed. Having a long history of working with patients who have experienced back pain, Diane also provides brief goal-oriented counseling to help patients cope more effectively due to health or spine-related issues.
Diane received her Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas, Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Science. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Texas A&M University College Station, with a concentration in Corrective Therapy (Kinesiotherapy).
Diane enjoys spending her free time with her husband, family, and friends; they enjoy live music, travel, home improvement projects, winter sports, and fitness activities.
