Over the last 39 years the doctors at Texas Back Institute have been recognized for their contributions and excellence in spine care by patients, colleagues and medical institutions. They have pioneered minimally invasive and robotic spine surgery, artificial disc replacement, fusion technologies and many more ground breaking treatments for neck and back conditions. The doctors at Texas Back Institute continually work to develop innovative treatment options for patients suffering from debilitating spinal conditions and spinal traumas. Texas Back Institute leads the nation in peer-reviewed research, FDA trials, scientific publications and presentations. Collectively, the doctors at Texas Back Institute have received numerous technology design awards, hold multiple intellectual property patients and have co-authored hundreds of spine related articles.

Recently D Magazine, one of the most trusted magazine brands in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, published their list of “Best Doctors in Dallas” and “Best Doctors in Collin County” for 2015 and 2016 and Texas Back Institute physicians made the list.

Here’s how it works.

Best Doctors in Collin County and Best Doctors in Dallas is a peer-review voting process. Letters are mailed to more than 8,938 local doctors from their online directory, inviting them to vote using a ballot on their website. Doctors can vote for up to three doctors in 38 categories. The nomination form asked them to vote bearing in mind the following question: which Dallas doctors would you trust with the care of a loved one? Each voter is vetted according to their Texas medical license number to ensure they were valid. The results are sent to an outside marketing firm to tally the votes. D Magazine then presented the tallied list to an anonymous panel of esteemed physicians. The panel and D staff reviewed the tallied results and decided the finalists based on the number of votes in each category. Once the list was finalized, D confirmed each doctor’s Texas medical license status and board certification and investigated his disciplinary status.
